| We will be at the Skyhounds comp at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, NC May 17th for our first frisbee comp! This is "A Day for the Dogs" so not only frisbee will be there! | |||
|
Frisbee is what we are most concerned with right now. Mainly because of the upcoming comp, and because
of the desire to become the first Springer to place in a frisbee comp. There are plenty of people who have helped us with this and I want to take the tiem and thank all of you!
| Tips and Tricks | |||
|
To start off: Rollers (inside and ouside, in a group, anywhere), take it, leave it, create a drive
by teasing them, finish with them wanting more, teach tricks.
Distance: Do longer rollers, don't let him come back to you without the frisbee. |
Rollers: Hold the frisbee
vertical, curl onto your forearm and roll the frisbee on the ground letting the dog chase it.
Take: Hold the frisbee and don't let the dog get it until you say take, make him take it and hold it. Drive: Make the dog jump up yo get it, and give it to him after the second time of pulling it away from him. Tricks: Weave, roll over, shake, turns, spins, etc.
